Our Song.. "sportsyenta + NewYorkJets"

SO the other day i was joking with some young guy that he should pick another team because he wouldnt support Kellen Clemens as our QB this week against Tampa Bay.

He told me to continue my "informational blog posting".. i think he was being facetious. lol

SO... i know this isn't information in the classic PFT / SI /ESPN sense... These are just my own quirky nonsensical thoughts... if you dont like it.. go read Peter King, and John Clayton.. they are much more in the "know" then i am ...

OY! ha!

but if you enjoy my ramblings, feel free to read at your leisure, and either way, i welcome comments.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program already in progress...

i was listening to the radio and they were having a 70's weekend ( yes, 1970's) and i heard a song and i felt as though a light bulb went off! It was my and the Jets song.. OUR love song.. TLA! (true love always.. for those of you not versed in 7th grade girl vernacular. )

how i never saw it before... i dont know... enjoy!!!!

i love you NEW YORK JETS!! SWAK!

*i have included the lyrics after the video

Don't give up on us, baby
Don't make the wrong seem right
The future isn't just one night
It's written in the moonlight
Painted on the stars
We can't change ours

Don't give up on us, baby
We're still worth one more try
I know we put a last one by
Just for a rainy evening
When maybe stars are few
Don't give up on us, I know
We can still come through

I really lost my head last night
You've got a right to start believin'
There's still a little love left, even so

Don't give up on us, baby
Lord knows we've come this far
Can't we stay the way we are?
The angel and the dreamer
Who sometimes plays a fool
Don't give up on us, I know
We can still come through

It's written in the moonlight
Painted on the stars
We can't change ours

Don't give up on us, baby
We're still worth one more try
I know we put a last one by
Just for a rainy evening
When maybe stars are few
Don't give up on us, I know
We can still come through

Don't give up on us, baby
Don't give up on us, baby

  1. I don't know, Sports Yenta. I think that things have really gone downhill for David Soul after Here Come the Brides.

  2. That was a horrible song 30 years ago and it has not improved with age.
