USA! Tennis.. and of course JETs!

To all my imaginary readers.. i hope you werent waiting all day in your invisible world for my post yesterday...

had an emergency.. BUT all is well! :)

SO the good news that i have been bitching about .. is that i am now the proud owner of a PSL.. and one amazing seat at the new stadium...

AND my dad is going to take one of the games.. which makes me doubly happy!!

Now on to the sports of the (yester)day...

what an exciting couple of sporting matches... and i didnt get to see a one of them (live)..

but thanks to the world of technology and replays.. i have seen them both..

first the USA beating Algeria in the 91st minute to advance to the next round! Not only is this a great win for our country, but also for ESPN who will continue to reap good ratings!

then...

who thought another sporting match with only two unknown players could usurp some of the coverage.. but here it is .. the wimbledon match between Isner and Muhut.. now in the 5th set tied at 59-59.. ready to resume in half an hour...

i know i will be watching.. whether it ends in two games or goes on for another couple of hours .. no one can diminish the awesomeness of the match.. to me the most amazing thing was that they didnt have to pee for 6 hours yesterday.

SO today is a happy day.. despite the 371% humidity...

maybe more later.. but of course..

thursday night my stockings need some mending...

well my patience is wearing thin.. ugh... too bad nothing else is wearing thin,...

when someone says, "i'll get back to you before the day is up.." why do they wait till the day is almost up? Why dont they say.. "i'll get back to you late in the afternoon..." You KNOW they have no intention of getting back to you early.

Ok so i dont have patience.

but i can not.. at least as it relates to my season tix woes...

so this morning i called again.. and after 45 mins of explaining my displeasure to a young woman who was NOT my rep, she told me she would leave my rep ( who wasnt in at the moment) and the manager ( who was in a meeting) a message...

soooo... 15 mins later my rep called me back. She must have just gotten in. OY!

and she had spoken to the manager who was in the meeting .. and as i expected...my seat was not there.. it was promised to me in err. ( after all the run around.. i had a feeling this was the issue)

BUT she said that they were going to make it right !! and she would get back to me by the end of the day! .....

well it is 5:25 and no phone call yet...

maybe they have longer days.. so i still hold out hope...

sigh.. if not, i will call tomorrow.. again. arg!

who thought it would be so hard to BUY a PSL! sheesh!

On a different note, single seat tickets went on sale on ticketmaster for the patriots.. so I will be at the Monday Night Jets Pats game.. sitting on the 40yd line 5 rows behind the JETS bench....

so i will at least be at one game, albeit in enemy territory..

i just cant seem to write here everyday.. or frankly even once a month...

BUT...

i am going to really try to write more often even if it is one sentence

SO i went to the new meadowlands (JETS) stadium this past Wednesday.. and it was beautiful.

i sat in my new season tix seat.. that is right i went and did it and i bought the reduced PSL.... so i have a seat! so excited...

BUT when i went to confirm since i hadn't heard anything.. i seem to be getting the run around...

so tomorrow morning.. i am going to call.. beware the wrath of the sportsyenta...

and oh yes.. HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the Dads out there! Thanks to mine who got me into sports which has lead to 40 years of JETs heartache. HA! No really.. i love you dad!

so hopefully you will hear for me more often! how is that for a summer treat??? :)
