aftermath of the draft and advice from my kid...

First the advice... My daughter asked to read my blog, and she told me that I should use capitalization in order to show I am serious. So here is my attempt at being serious. :-)

Anyway, the JETs got good grades from the draft gurus... Quality not Quantity. We shall see! I am cautiously optimistic.

Everyone wondered how they got Reggie Hodges to give up his #6. What compensation would Sanchez give him?

How bout they cut him?

I guess he saw the writing on the wall, or should I say the writing on the jersey!

2nd day and a 3rd pick!

ok so it is the second day of the draft and we have a 3rd rounder ( at this point!)

i have my java and am ready to go!

i think we need a WR and a Safety.. maybe a tight end?

which way will they go?

it would be easier to watch if it wasnt beautiful outside!

ahhh what i do for sports.

will there be a diamond in the rough out there somewhere?

so.. we didnt have to wait long.. 5 picks in, woody pulls the trigger and we trade two picks and three players to Mangini and the Browns for Mark Sanchez, USC QB. Sounds like a well spoken confident young man ... lets just hope it translates to the field.

"broadway mark" just doesnt sound right .. so here are some of the nicknames i have thought of..

"manhattan mark"

"staten island sanchez"

"madison ave mark"

first post - draft day and other stuff..

well what a better day to start blogging. yesterday was earth day, and today is one of the most painful days for me. It is the NFL draft, and since i am a JETs fan.. well they havent had a good history.

Ok so i might add more later if i am not crying huddled up in a corner. :-)

Hopefully this blog will be the start of something fun and interesting to read... who knows..

I hope that in the next coming weeks, i will write a bit more about me, and my love hate relationship with sports..
